A New Era of Cell    Screening Sciences

Only the combination of these key features ensures the potential for fully flexible

assay development and the industrial screening process. Key for high resolution is

strictly confocal imaging and the use of water immersion lenses. Main driver for

speed is simultaneous image acquisition and data processing. The most prominent

areas of use are cell screening at sub-cellular resolution level as well as bead based

screening applications - from conventional plate formats to nanoplate scale.

Cells are identified using a broadrange  dye.

Single cell results (above) and EC50

curves for two activating compounds (below).say prep

Run assay in appropriate 96-, 384- or 1536-well micro titer plates.

Transfer assay plate to the Opera (manually or by any robotic system) and apply appropriate mode of reading/dataacquisition (e.g. single or multi image well reading, z-scans, time lapse).Apply on-board device-inherent or user-defined scripts and analyze data on-line during image acquisition or re-analyze data from a remote PC. Store raw and processed data in a file based system.
